WORKSHOP ON CERVICAL CANCER By DR REKHA VAISH
School hosted an insightful workshop on cervical cancer by Dr. Rekha Vaish. She explained the causes, risk factors, symptoms, and emphasized the importance of early detection through regular check-ups and Pap smear tests
WORLD ZOONOSES DAY
- The Interact Club organized an awareness drive to mark World Zoonoses Day.
- Through interactive presentations, students were sensitized about zoonotic diseases, modes of transmission, preventive measures, and first-aid after animal bites.
WORLD MALARIA DAY (APRIL 25 , 2025)
In observance of World Malaria Day, a series of activities were conducted to raise awareness on the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases. Sensitization sessions was held for students. Various activities, like ppt making and poster-making, were organized to enhance student engagement and understanding. Cleanliness drive was initiated to clean the surroundings.
COMMUNITY CLEANUP DRIVE (April 26, 2025)
In line with SDG Goal 13: Climate Action, the Interact Club conducted a cleanliness drive around the Metro Gate area. Students participated with full enthusiasm, using gloves, garbage bags, brooms, and dustbins to clear plastic waste and litter.
The activity promoted environmental awareness, public hygiene, and civic responsibility. It was a hands-on experience in teamwork and community service, reflecting the Club’s dedication to building a cleaner and greener society.
BASIC FIRST AID & CPR TRAINING WORKSHOP (May 9, 2025)
A First Aid and CPR training session was held for Classes X, XI, and XII, led by Mr. Yogesh Pant, a certified expert from MSME and NIDM. Students learned hands-only CPR and basic first aid techniques to handle emergencies.
The session was informative and empowering, promoting health awareness and preparing students to act swiftly in critical situations.
ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS
To sensitize masses about the importance of organ donation, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India observed India Organ Donation Day as ‘Angdaan Mahotsav’. Our students participated by taking a pledge on organ donation and making posters to spread awareness about the same.
AWARENESS ON MENSTRUAL HYGIENE
Parents and Students from class VI to X attended a webinar on World Menstrual Hygiene Day organized by Health Champs. The webinar aimed at removing the taboo and stigma related to menstruation. It also dealt with the issues of menstrual hygiene.
The students were encouraged to talk to their maids and helpers about menstrual hygiene and remove any kind of misconceptions regarding this.
PLOGGING RUN - SWACHATA ABHIYAN
As a befitting tribute to the Father of the Nation the FIT INDIA Plogging Run was organised by the school for the students of classes VI-X. The participants collected single use plastic garbage while running. The plastic garbage was collected from school, adjoining streets and open spaces along the path of the Run.
THALASSEMIA WORKSHOP
A workshop on Thalassemia awareness was conducted in the school premises for the students of Class IX . The workshop was organized by the school Interact Club in association with the Rotary Club of Delhi Janak.
CELEBRATION OF RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS/ NATIONAL UNITY DAY
National Unity day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of national integration of Independent. A Pledge Taking Ceremony to mark the occasion was conducted during the assembly Hours) . Students also participated in the "Run for Unity" which was conducted within the school premises.
CELEBRATION OF SWACHHATA PAKHWADA
Swachhata Pakhwada was celebrated in school in which students from class I-X participated in various activities. The activities ranged from workshops on correct hand washing techniques and cleanliness drives to organizing Swachhata rally in the school premises.
POLIO RALLY
The Interactors participated in the ‘KEEP INDIA POLIO FREE – Rally’ in the JJ Cluster near Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar. The event witnessed the participation of over 250 Rotarians from U.K., Ireland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Japan, USA etc.
