BBPS OLYMPICS 2024 OPENING CEREMONY (October 17, 2024)
The School, hosted the 15th All India Inter-Unit Bal Bharati Sports Meet 2024 - BBPS Olympics from October 17 to 19, 2024, under the aegis of the CES Sports Council. The event aimed to foster sportsmanship and national integration among 26 BBPS units pan-India, with 1500 participants competing in various sports like athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball.
The grand Opening Ceremony was presided over by Mr. Nikhil Channa, President, Child Education Society, and Chairman, Sports Council.
Luminaries from the CES Board of Management and Principals from 26 units graced the event.
Renowned dignitaries who graced the event included:
1.Aman Sehrawat, Olympian Wrestler and Bronze Medallist at the 2024 Paris Olympics
2.Yashpal Solanki, Arjuna Awardee and High-Performance Director for Judo, Chief Guest
3.Mahavir Singh, Dronacharya Awardee for Boxing, Guest of Honour
4.Raj Kumar Sharma, Dronacharya Awardee for Cricket and coach of Virat Kohli
5.Mahavir Prasad, Dronacharya Awardee for Wrestling

Cultural Splendour: Performances included Mahakal Stuti, Ganesh Vandana, and other vibrant presentations, blending traditional and contemporary themes. The highlight of the event was aerial drone display to welcome dignitaries with petal showers and unveiling the CES flag and mascot "Balbee."
BBPS OLYMPICS 2024 CLOSING CEREMONY (October 19, 2024)
The grand Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony of BBPS Olympics 2024 was held on 19th October 2024, after three days of thrilling matches.
The event was graced by the following dignitaries:
- Chief Guest: Maj Gen Vikram Dev Dogra AVSM, CEO, World Kho Kho Games, and the first General in the Indian Army to complete the Ironman triathlon thrice.
- Guest of Honor: Ms. Devika Malik, international para-athlete, who won 13 national and 3 international medals.
Other dignitaries:
- Mr. Kripa Shankar, Arjuna Awardee for Wrestling with 11 gold and 8 silver medals at the international level; coach and trainer for the cast of Dangal.
- Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Arjuna Awardee for Boxing and Assistant Boxing Coach for the Indian Boxing Team.
- Mr. Bhanu Sachdeva, Arjuna Awardee for Swimming and President, Krida Bharati Delhi Region.
- Mr. Vijay Pal Tomar, Asian Gold Medallist & Indian Record Holder in Pole Vault.
- Ms. Pinky Balhara, Indian Kurash Wrestler and Judoka, Gold Medallist at the World Nomad Games 2024.Mr. Ravinder Dahiya, International Coach.
- The event was further enriched by the presence of the Board of Management, Advisors of CES, Secretaries, Principals, and staff members from all BBPS units across India.
- Spectators were captivated by the Grand closing Ceremonies bejeweled with reverberating rhythm of choir and orchestra. The bouquet of cultural presentations imbibing traditional and modern hues enchanted all with exuberant performances involving mass participation of students from all age groups.
- The orchestra performance, sports presentation, Ganesha Vandana, enchanting choir, dance performances ‘Mahadev’, ‘Aigiri Nandini’ and an electrifying rock band energized the audience. Captivating Spanish and Indonesian dances, a soul-stirring Sufi dance, fusion choreography, rhythmic beats of Bhangra and Folk Fusion Kathputli dance, left the audience mesmerised.
- The evening reached its crescendo with a grand finale and a power packed performance by Parent community of BBPS Dwarka that left the audience in awe. During the much-awaited prize distribution ceremony winners of various sports events were awarded for their exemplary performances.
- After which the CES flag was handed over to Principal, BBPS Ludhiana for 16th All India Inter Unit Bal Bharati Sports Meet 2025.
- The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Asha Prabhakar, Convenor, Sports Council. The President, the Chairman of the Child Education Society Mr. Nikhil Channa declared the Inter-Unit Sports Meet closed. The magnificent event marked by its cultural richness and athletic spirit, will be remembered as a grand celebration of talent, teamwork, and perseverance.
