Our school recently celebrated Diwali with a difference by embracing a Green Diwali, focusing on eco-conscious festivities that fostered creativity, cultural pride, and sustainability. Held on October 28-29, these activities aimed to combine the joy and traditions of Diwali with a deep commitment to environmental responsibility. The celebration began with students from classes 4 to 12 gathering for a "Pledge for a Green Diwali." This pledge ceremony encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly practices that reduce pollution and minimize waste. By committing to a greener Diwali, students learned the importance of making conscious choices that protect the environment, setting a reflective and meaningful tone for the celebration. |

On October 29, creativity took center stage with the Google Doodle Art Competition, where students from classes 6 to 7 showcased their artistic talents by designing Diwali-themed doodles on recycled paper using natural colors. This activity allowed students to express their creativity while actively supporting green initiatives. Concurrently, students from classes 4 to 9 participated in a Green Rangoli Contest, creating beautiful and vibrant rangolis using natural materials like flowers, leaves, and colored sand. This contest highlighted the potential of eco-friendly decorations and showed how tradition can be maintained in harmony with nature. Additionally, an Eco-Innovative Craft Station enabled students from classes 4 to 10 to craft festive items such as lanterns, bandhanwars, and gifts from recycled materials. These creations underscored the value of reuse and helped students understand how sustainable practices can be applied to festive celebrations.
