A SEASON OF STORIES A BOOK PUBLISHED BY OUR YOUNG WRITERS (NOVEMBER 6, 2019)
In the Inter-Unit Story book titled ‘A Season of Stories’ – 14 stories written by the students of our school have been published. Out of which 10 stories were prize winning entries.
CAMPAIGN AGAINST VECTOR BORNE DISEASES
AT INTERSCHOOL LEVEL (SEPTEMBER 16, 2019)
The school invited neighbouring schools and Dr. Vimal Kaushal, District Nodal Head accompanied by Dr. Kamna Aggarwal, Medical Officer, DGHC to educate students and teachers about methods to prevent vector borne diseases. All schools participated in poster making, Mosquito rallies and Mosquito walk to create awareness about “10 hafte, 10 baje, 10 minute, har shukrawar, bimarion pe waar”.
Students & teachers from St. Gregorious School, Fauji Model School, Dwarka International School have joined in the campaign and assured of their full support.
ZONAL INTER SCHOOL ROPE SKIPPING HELD AT BBPS, DWARKA (AUGUST 8 & 9, 2019)
The school hosted Zonal Inter School Rope Skipping tournament in which Ms.Tombi Devi (Arjun Awardee) and ACP Mr. Vijay Pal Tomar (International Medalist in Pole Vault ) were guests of honour. The event witnessed competition among 350 students from around 40 schools within Zone 21. School team won 31 Gold, 52 Silver, 7 Bronze medals.
CBSE CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME ON LIFE SKILLS (JULY 25, 2019)
The school hosted CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Life Skills which was attended by 25 teachers from schools across Delhi. Resource person Mr. Pankaj Munjal trained teachers to include the different life skills like Empathy, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Creative thinking, Interpersonal Relationships, Self Awareness, Managing Stress and Emotions, Coping with Stress etc. in the curriculum in an effective manner.
CBSE CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME ON STRESS MANAGEMENT (JULY 19, 2019)
The school hosted a CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Stress Management in which 33 teachers from different schools across Delhi participated. Dr. Pooja Shivam Jaitly, a renowned Clinical Psychologist discussed Happy School Framework for positive mental health of students.
INTERNATIONAL ROBOTRONICS CHALLENGE
The school hosted International Robotronics Challenge which was based on the concept of R-ME (Robots in Mission & Expedition). Over 200 students from schools in Delhi, NCR, Jaipur and Jalandhar came up with highly advanced yet functional Robots for various missions by Army, Navy and Air Force.
INTERSCHOOL MOOT COURT COMPETITION
BBPS Dwarka pioneered mooting and litigation simulation with the launch of First ABT BBPS Interschool Moot Court Competition inaugurated by Mr Surinder S. Rathi, Director National Legal Services Authority, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. Challenge of litigation and memorial writing was taken up by 26 reputed schools. Mr Sanjay Rathi, Co Chairman Delhi Bar Council, Ms Amita Gupta Advocate, Mr Brij Bhushan Gupta, Senior Advocate Supreme Court graced the Final Adjudication Panel.
NIKWAN 2018-Interschool Dance Fest
Interschool Dance Fest -NIKWAN 2018 , was a cornucopia of varied dance styles which depicted the rich cultural heritage of our country and brought to the fore talent inherent in our students It was a visual treat to see mesmerizing performances of talented dancers from leading schools of Delhi and NCR .

INDIA INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS
The school in association with IIMUN organised Model United Nations in which over 300 delegates from renowned schools from across the country participated. Ambassador Kiran Doshi and Mr. Unmukt Chand, cricketer graced the occasion. The delegates deliberated on respective agendas in their respective seven committees.
CBSE NATIONAL HERITAGE INDIA QUIZ
Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka hosted CBSE National Heritage India Quiz . It was an exciting tussle to witness the nationwide top twenty teams deciphering the quiz meant to promote and preserve the invaluable heritage of our country. The contest comprised four gruelling semi-final rounds hosted by Ace Quiz Master Mr Ajay Poonia (of History Channel Fame) followed by the final.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr Anurag Tripathi, Secretary, CBSE; Mr K K Choudhary, Controller of Examination, CBSE and Mr Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Secretary General, Confederation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations of India (CUCAI).
The winner team was awarded with the Rolling Trophy along with the prize money. Mrs Suruchi Gandhi, Principal BBPS Dwarka said, “The school organised the national level event with the objective of promoting interest and desire among students to learn and appreciate the history, tourism and sharing the vast cultural heritage of our country.”
IIMUN
Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka hosted Delhi Chapter of Indian International Model United Nations .
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Deputy CM of Delhi Mr Manish Sisodia and was attended by a large congregation of Principals, Members of Board of Management and over 200 delegates from best schools of Delhi, who appreciated the cornucopia of traditional and modern cultural events at the grand opening ceremony.
Deputy CM Mr Manish Sisodia urged students to deliberate on ideas for future schools. Mr Sisodia asked the young delegates to think beyond the current model of practice and take this opportunity to invent, innovate the future of our country and the shape of the world. He congratulated the School Chairman Mr L R Channa and the Principal, Mrs Suruchi Gandhi for taking the bold initiative for organizing this mammoth gathering of young minds, who are still not trapped in the quick sand of norms and tradition and can create a future for themselves.
IIMUN inspires young minds with patriotic fevour while teaching them to think like world leaders, while debating on issues of Global significance.
TECH QUEST
Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka hosted Inter-school Tech Quest . The 6th edition of this event saw participation of 24 leading schools of Delhi.The event witnessed tech geeks displaying their technical acumen and brilliance. The participants vied in various competitions such as Lights! Camera! Action!, Mobile App., Game Designing and Robotics. An eminent panel of judges awarded the winners and applauded the efforts of the school.
SEEDLING FEST
The school hosted its annual feature – Seedling Fest in which renowned schools of New Delhi mesmerized the audience with their performances. The participants competed with a great zeal in events such as kidovators, La Rime, Chirping Birds, Juggle the Jingle, Move a Little, Shake a Little and Comedy remedy. The exquisite shades of creativity and talent were showcased by children. The daunting task of judgment was done by an eminent panel of judges. The pageant show of the primary school children was a bug success and won a wide round of applause.
INTERNATIONAL YOUTH START UP CONFERENCE
School team participated in the most prestigious conference the “International youth start up conference” at Welham boys school Dehradun in which 18 schools shared start up ideas. Kritika & Prerna of class-XI submitted the idea ‘LOST COMPASS – OUR SEARCH IS OVER’ has received critical acclaim from the jury. The sensing compass would have software installed to locate the household items.
ANTARDHWANI
The Inter School Music fest featured an eclectic mélange of musical events ranging from Group Song Competitions. Enthralling performances captured the inherent creativity of students in a medley of musical hues.
INTER SCHOOL ROPE SKIPPING TOURNAMENT
The school hosted 1st Inter School Rope Skipping Tournament, which saw imbued participation of top schools of Delhi vying to prove their grit, embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The Guests of honour Mr. Satpal Singh (President, School Games Federation of India), Chief Guest Mr. Nirdesh Sharma (Secretary General, Rope Skipping Federation of India) and Suman Shoukeen, renowned kabaddi player inspired the budding sportsmen to excel and promote the culture of sports and fitness.
