SUM A TALE ACTIVITY 

Since time immemorial, stories have been everyone’s favourite to spread morality. Moral values such as honesty, truthfulness, forgiveness, kindness, giving respect to each other etc. should be inherited by every individual. Students explored, read and chose a story based on moral values. They decorated their script with colourful pictures to fostered moral values.

MASK DISTRIBUTION (NOVEMBER 1, 2019)

Safety masks were distributed to all students and staff and the harmful effects of Delhi air pollution were discussed in classes by teachers.

ANTI-TOBACCO INITIATIVE (NOVEMBER 2019)

Students prepared cards and display boards motivating smokers to quit smoking.

In order to curb pollution, the students of classes VI – XII participated in a series of activities:

‘Healthy Hunt’ – Race was organized, to help children identify colours and names of the vegetables.

Science experiments related to the concept of floating and sinking were conducted to develop a sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness among our children.

A theme park for air and water transport was created to educate students about boarding and cruise passes, metro card, driving license.

A zig zag maze path was created with the wooden chowkies and children found their way through it.

SPINNING WHEEL – CELEBRITY ON THE RAMP COMPETITION- (NOVEMBER 6, 2019)

A fancy dress competition was organized in which children were dressed up as various famous national and international personalities.

Mathemagic – Maths Quiz, was organised to promote and encourage a fun way of learning the basic concepts of Maths among the students.

HALLOWEEN MONSTERS (OCTOBER 31, 2019)

Children dressed up as scary characters from Harry Potter Series, Batman, Spider man, and witches with wigs, Halloween masks with accessories like broom and hats to celebrate Halloween Day.

GREEN DIWALI – CRAFT ACTIVITY (OCTOBER 25, 2019)

Children decorated lanterns using beautiful home-made reusable materials.

The students of Class V participated in the Lamp Decoration Activity and made beautiful paper lanterns.

Krispy Kreme activity was organized for classes I & II in which students prepared nutritious, healthy and tasty dish without fire.

HOLIDAY CARD EXCHANGE PROJECT (OCTOBER 16, 2019)

The school participated in the Holiday Card Exchange Project, wherein the students prepared beautiful cards using waste material to be exchanged with the partner schools through i.earn.org.

The students of class III participated in a card making activity to commemorate the teachings of Mahatama Gandhi.

CLEAN UP THE WORLD – OBSTACLE RACE (SEPTEMBER 30, 2019)

Clean up the World- Obstacle race was organised in which kids came with their green caps as Eco Ambassadors and crossed hurdles to throw trash in the dust bins.

Water pool, the sea shells, juices, coconut water, umbrellas, the sand – making castles and the beach music created an inviting ambience for the pool party.

Our young chipmunks were warmly welcomed after the summer break. To make their day bright and beautiful, a crafty activity was designed for our tiny tots. Our young artists unleashed their creative skills by making colourful butterflies and they decorated the same with pom poms.

We at BBPS, Dwarka invent our own creative ways to develop the artistic potential of our budding artists, keeping the same in mind, an creative craft activity – Candilicious was organized for our tiny tots of Preprimary I & II. It was a visual treat watching them create beautiful craft creations.

Children recognised the important role that their fathers’ have in their lives and applauded their enriching contributions with myriad of activities conducted in the class.

TOYS FOR TOTS (JULY 15, 2019)

Pre School and Pre Primary Children celebrated TOYS FOR TOTS day in school. They brought their favorite toy to school and had a great time playing with toys. They learnt to express their feelings through show and tell.

TREE- PLANTATION (JULY 16, 2019)

Nature has always bestowed us with innumerable blessings thereby making our life blissful. It is our duty to take care of it. To make children aware of their surroundings and to encourage them for being protective towards their environment Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka organized an activity– ‘Tree Plantation’ for classes VI to XII. Students of each class participated enthusiastically. Around hundred students brought beautiful saplings of variety of plants and planted them in the school premises and learned the importance of nature in life.

WATER CONSERVATION (JULY 16, 2019)

We at Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka organize an art competition class VI -VIII to awareness creation and community education activities in water conservation so that future generation can use water.

ADAPTATION WEEK (APRIL 9 to 12, 2019)

An Adaptation Programme holds considerable significance to create a friendly and comfortable environment for the Pre-schoolers to settle down. There were a wide array of activities arranged for tiny tots like fishing, sand play, water play, fun races, magic show, puppet show along with piping hot food that kept them indulged throughout the day. The week was wrapped up with a Beach party where in the children had immense fun at the pool with various water animals.

TASTILO – NACHO CHAT MAKING ACTIVITY (CLASSES I & II) (APRIL 8, 2019)

Cooking without fire activities developed the skill of non – flame dishes to inculcate good and healthy food habits.

Students learnt the importance of healthy food habits, proper food storage and usage of paper and cloth bags instead of plastic bags in this fun and creative activity.

FIRE SAFETY DRILL (03/04/19) Classes VI-XII

Drop, Cover, Hold Drill and Evacuation drill were organized to give students hands on experience on how to use Fire Extinguisher and to enhance their emergency preparedness.

HUMAN CHAIN ROAD SAFETY ACTIVITY

Students of our school participated in India’s Biggest Human Chain Campaign during National Road Safety Week organized by Ministry of Road Transport. Students pledged to follow the road safety rules as responsible citizens and observed silence for 2 minutes in remembrance of Indian Road Victims.

SADAK SURAKSHA (ONLINE AWARENESS ACTIVITY)

Children of class IV and V participated in the Sadak Suraksha Online Awareness@School as  mentioned below:

“Don’t be a bystander -Anti Bullying” Activity

Children made posters on the topic “Don’t be a bystander” to launch Anti bullying campaign.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE (FAMILY DAY)

Students poured out their creativity while decorating Gingerbread house and pasted their family photograph while their teachers discussed about the importance of family. A fun filled race was also organized.

CANDIED CARROTS

Carrot hunt activity was organised for preprimary children, they also enjoyed carrot halwa for lunch.

CRUNCHY DELIGHT

During Crunchy Delight kids enjoyed making tasty ,crunchy dry fruit recipe which they relished a lot .

FITNESS FREAKS – FIELD ACTIVITY

To inculcate healthy habits in our young children, a field activity was organised for the students of classes I and II. Different games like hurdles, dribbling, passing and shots were organized.

My Aqua Buddies 

It’s always fun to play with dolphins and watch fishes swimming in the sea . So we at BBPS , Dwarka  tried to create that very feel for our tiny tots . Children had a gala time visiting water pool and decorating cut-outs of sea animals . They thoroughly enjoyed this craft activity . Children also sang and danced on the tunes of “ A sailor went to sea “ .

MARCH FOR ROAD SAFETY 

Class X marched with the Mission “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha” to spread awareness towards being safe on road and took a pledge to be a responsible road user and a responsible citizen.

FLY HIGH – KITE DECORATION 

A “Kite Decoration” was organized in which the children designed vibrant and beautiful kites with a lot of innovation.

RAKHI MAKING- A Tribute to Indian Soldiers 

Rakhi Making Activity was conducted in which the students made  rakhis for the soldiers of the Indian Army. COAS (Chief of Army Staff) expressed his gratitude and thanks to the School Principal for the gesture of sending Rakhis made by the students on the eve of ‘Rakhsha Bandhan’ for the soldiers.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

The English Dramatics Club staged its maiden venture ‘The Sound of Music’. The classic songs and the dances enthralled the audience and left them spell bound.

Community Lunch

A community lunch was organized on 4.7.2018 in the School premises in ‘MP Hall for students of Classes I & II (all five sections) wherein all the students contributed their home made recipes to make the event filled with a variety of taste and aroma.

Funtoosh (Home Coming)

Students of primary school were warmly welcomed after the summer break. To make them feel more comfortable a day full of fun was designed for them on July 3, 2018. Children were made to do a craft activity. Our young artists unleashed their creative skills by making crafty smilie sticks. They all brought their favourite food for lunch and danced on their favourite peppy songs.

YOG YATRA AT BBPS, GR

BBPS fraternity joined hands with Yog Sansthan to sign a MoU for imparting yoga education in the school . A bouquet cultural bonanza from various units of BBPS marked the Grand opening ceremony at BBPS, GR where students of our school stole the show with their heartwarming and foot tapping musical performance.

SLOGAN WRITING AGAINST SEXUAL ABUSE 

Students actively spearheaded the campaign to sensitize other students against the evil of child sexual abuse through slogan writing .

ROBOTICS DAY 

On Robotics Day students learnt to design a Robot that could sort out biodegradable waste & non-biodegradable waste boxes. They designed a Robot that can clear boxes placed on an elevated surface were organized.

NATURE WALK 

The students of primary classes were taken on a visit to the Vegetable garden where they broadened their knowledge, got a firsthand familiarity of herbs, shrubs and trees and were made to feel the texture and observe the varying shapes of different leaves.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME 

The primary class students interacted with the children of NGO-Pahadi Dagdya (friends from the hills.) to make them socially responsible to their community and to connect compassionately with all. Sapling plantation was done in the school greens and they also pledged to take care of the nature.

Children conveyed the message of conservation on “Save Environment”  day through following activities.

To express love and gratefulness to the mothers, students of classes I and II have organised a card making competition  – Colorier le Monde  – ‘I wish to reach your heart’ on 9 May 2018. Students made extremely innovative and wonderful cards with their mother’s photograph on it.

GREEN WARRIORS-EARTH DAY ACTIVITY 

Green warriors – Earth day special activity was conducted by    pre primary I and II students on May 9, 2018. To know the importance of preserving our planet earth and to engage our young ones in celebrating “Earth Day”, the green warriors went for nature walk , conducted sapling plantation and craft activity. Special module on mother earth followed by steps to be taken to save it was shown to them. The message was conveyed to everyone that together we can make everyday Earth Day and each one of us can make a difference.

SPIC MACAY 

SPIC MACAY organised a lecture cum demonstration by Kathak exponent Mahua Shankar and her team which presented the classical dance genre in its simplest form. Ms. Mahua was accompanied by Ustad Akram Khan on Tabla, Ustad Murad Ali Khan on Sarangi, Ms.Nupur Shankar and Mr. Janab Shuheb Hassan were the singers. Ms. Shankar introduced the basics of Kathak to the children including its origin and nuances.

MOVE AND MINGLE (WELCOME PARTY – Pre Primary 2) 

Children came dressed  up in floral frocks, shirts, smart hats and sunglasses for Beach party organized in school. Real objects like shells, coconut water, aqua life, tubes for swimming were used to recreate the Juhu Beach in school.

FUN  IN THE SUN- CLASSES I-II 

To inculcate sportsman spirit and leadership quality in our young children, an outdoor activity was organized wherein the children enjoyed the physical activities thoroughly.

PUPPET SHOW –GALI GALI SIM SIM

A Puppet Show – ‘Hum Sab Ek Hai’ was staged for the tiny tots conveying the message of oneness and love for each other.

BAISAKHI CELEBERATION-CLASSES-I-V 

The valour of the North India was celebrated through a colourful Baisakhi programme. Dressed up in traditional costumes, children flew kites. They enjoyed the community lunch and relished sweets.

SCOOP ON ! 

To beat the heat, the students celebrated Scoop ON ! – an icy treat.

SCHOOL TOUR

To acquaint our new entrants with their own school, a school tour “KNOW THE SCHOOL” was organized.

YES I CAN – SENSE TRAINING “VISIT TO SENSORIAL GARDEN” 

The children were taken to the sensorial garden where they explored different sense stations like tasting booth, smelling booth, visual booth, touching booth and hearing booth. An array of sensorial activities provided memorable experience to our young Bal Bharatians.

JIMMY JAMMY JUNCTION 

Children love cookies and if they learn how to garnish them they enjoy to do it.

NOON ASSEMBLY AT NATIONAL BAL BHAWAN 

The school participated in India’s First Joint Noon Assembly held at National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi. The Noon assembly was held to highlight to shift school assembly timings from morning to noon, for giving children better sun exposure and thus more intake of Vitamin D. A skit was presented to reiterate importance of clean environment and healthy practices to maintain good health.

NUOVO IRZI-NEW BEGINNINGS 

Various fun activities were organised likecock –a-hoop, artistic impressions, run for fun, movie mania etc. to give an energetic start to the new session.

SPRING OLYMPICS (SPORTS DAY) 

Spring Olympics began with an energetic Welcome run by our little Bal Bharatians. A peppy dance drill set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering notes of encouragement for the young athletes. The parents enthusiastically participated in the races specially organised for them…They also shared their precious feedback regarding the whole program with great excitement.
